Sunshine Elementary School
A few words from Ms. Pappas...
"Long ago, when I was an elementary school student, I was also a teacher. At home, on any given day-rain or shine-I was always maintaining a classroom. In a semi circle, my teddy bears and dolls would be arranged with paper and pencils in front of them, and I would be leading a lesson on my chalkboard. I come from a household of educators. My mother is a retired special education teacher and my sister is currently a 2nd grade teacher. We are always passing ideas back and forth and becoming inspired by each other's creativity and passion for teaching. I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher some day, and am so very happy to be a part of the Sunshine Elementary School community! I offer a warm welcome to those of you who are new to the school, and offer a warm welcome back to returning families!
My teaching philosophy I feel is ever-changing. I do feel strongly, however, about teaching to the child, and not the group. We all learn in different ways, and it is my job to make sure I stimulate the minds of each child to their unique learning style.
